add source to multiple profiles at once

I recently uploaded and merged my gedcom tree.  It missed all my attachments.  Is there a easy way to attach a source document or photograph to several people at once?

A  whole family shows up on a census.  It applies to all

A family photo.  Each person in the photo should be attached.  In this case, is it one picture or separate for each person.

If you are uploading an image, either a photo or a source, you can attach it to several people in your tree from the image details page.

Click the Image tab, select the image you wish to attach to additional people, select add/edit under the "In this image" field, scroll down for a list of people in your watchlist. Check the boxes of the people you wish to add.

The sources will have to be added individually. I use an Excel spreadsheet to store my sources. This makes it a cut an paste operation for the source. For instance:

1940 US Census United States of America, Bureau of the Census. Sixteenth Census of the United States, 1940. Washington, D.C.; National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) T627, 4,643 rolls; Census Place: New York, Kings, New York; Roll: T627_2558; Page: 3A; Enumeration District: 24-465; Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2012
Palermo Marriage Records Hugh Tornabene. City of Palermo Marriage Records, 1820-1895, (Harwood, Maryland: 2009.) Italy, Marriages, 1820-1895 (in Italian), Ancestry.com [online database[. (Provo, Utah: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2010.)
1905 NY Census New York, State Census, 1905, New York State Archives; Albany, New York, State Population Census Schedules, 1905; Election District: A.D. 03 E.D. 17; City: Brooklyn; County: Kings

The left column identifies the source and I can just copy and paste into the profile. I keep all census files in one tab, marriage records in another, etc. The red info is the detail and I would keep that on my clipboard or temporarily put it in the Excel file.

If I am adding a profile from my genealogy program it is even easier because I can just copy/paste each source.

I also noticed when I was looking for an example, that my immediate family has all their sources in the wrong format! I'll have to update them.
Lucy,

I do something similar with my sources.  When I am researching documents I copy and paste the source citation into word and save the page of sources under the persons name.

I personally hate using Excel. Though I will have to try your way.  I use Ancestry so I always have to go source shopping on FamilySearch and MyHeritage.
