Profile Work in Progress

Question

I've tried searching for anything that will link to all profiles that are a 'work-in-progress' but have come up empty handed. I have a few profiles that are a work-in-progress and could most definitely use a little extra help but I hate to constantly post in the G2G feed asking for help, I don't want to bother people with things they may not be interested in. So would this be something worth 'creating'?

Hi Kaylee,

I'm not sure that any of us would feel it as a bother. Some view it as a challenge. Here is a option that might be suitable. You could create a Free Space Profile and call it a To Do List. That would help you organize what profiles you have to work on and how far they are completed. However what I think you also might be talking about is a category in which you could put something like [[Category: Kaylee Robinson Research needed]] on the profile that would automatically put them on a list however I'm not sure if that is allowed. What I might suggest is contacting the Project Coordinator or the Categorization leader for guidance on this possibility

As Steven said, I don't think anyone minds postings to G2G and if folks aren't interested , they don't have to read the post.

I also think a to-do list to organize your work is good. See item #3 https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?action=newspace

You could also add [[Category:Needs Research]] which invites help from others, but I'm not sure anyone ever looks in that category. If the list gets to long, there's a link in the upper right corner, to limit to your watchlist.
