I am checking Katherine Elizabeth Cottrell Adams to see if she is white, Indian or black.

Do you know the state, county and or city where she was born? Would you have the year of her birth?

If her parents are indeed the parents stated in the orphaned profile, her father was said to be English so if she's Native American her ancestry is likely to be through her mother.  However, according to the information about Alexander Adams on "Men of the Cloth", regarding his wife Esther Armitage, that seems unlikely as well.

My educated guess would be that her heritage is European and thus Caucasian.
