Why are we being blocked from using Rootssearch?

I wanted to search for Niebuhr-196 Frederich Niebuhr and got this message after logging in  to Rootssearch:

The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite. This is likely to be caused when the server needs RC4, which is no longer considered secure.

Never had a problem before. I am using Chrome.

Hi Jon,

Is this related with wikitree X?
So I was able to login to RootsSearch, I'm at the search screen - can you be specific as to what buttons you pushed once you logged in? I'm not seeing an error.
I used it between 2 and 6 hours ago several times with no problem. Could it be a server problem?
Has RootsSearch ever worked on that computer before? Are you still using Windows XP? The SSL provider for RootsSearch doesn't support Windows XP.
No I didn't get that far. right at the start of search.

Jon
Thanks Justin. That ends my searches for Wikitree, I guess.

All I got. Your loss more than mine at my age. I'll go back to puzzles.

It looks to me as if you have had a Windows Security update. Following the update it considers that the type of security (SSL) used by their server is not compatible with your PC and now a potential security risk.

Thanks Roger.

Justin commented that XP is not supported and my win 7 crashed. I get the star for an answer instead of a comment.
