Two possibly different Nicholas Gilbert profiles are listed on wikitree--Gilbert-6274 and Gilbert-218--both with DNA links to Samuel Gilbert.  Gilbert-218 married Ester Craven and Gilbert-6274 married Margaret Valandingham.  They don't seem to have the same death dates.  Gilbert-6274's will dated 1784.  There's a burial site for Gilbert-218 in 1762.  Some of the DNA matches for Gilbert-218 match those listed for Gilbert-218.  Gilbert-6274 had at least two wives.  Which Nicholas Gilbert was the son of Samuel Gilbert?  Had the death dates for the two been the same, then the profiles might be mergeable.

I suspect they are all the same Nicholas and just need dates checking against what facts exist.  The will date might be the date it was proved - so after he died. We have Y-DNA of this line in the Gilbert DNA Project as shown for the Warminster Gilberts here: https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Space:Gilbert_Name_Study_-_DNA_Lineage_19&public=1
