Hi Chris,

i don't have a lot on David Hall.

He is my great grandfather who passed long before i was born i do know he married Constance Leah Barrett i have no dates of marriage or his birth or death. Constance died about 1969/1970 in melbourne victoria Australia.

They had 1 son Maurice Daniel Hall my G father b 1909?  melbourne     d 1982/3? Melbourne Maurice m Muriel Comley around 1928/29? Both have passed.

I have traced the Comley side of the family back to the 1600s but i have very little on the hall side.

That's ok, although I'm not familiar with searching in Australia, but others might be, so even that will help.  And one can guess he was probably born 1870-1890ish.

and Constance mother was born in Germany? although i'm yet to confirm that, and her father was born in Australia.

Ancestry has a birth record in 1909 in Brunswick, Victoria for Flor Elsie Hall, with parents Daniel Hall and Constance Leah Barrett. Maybe you can find someone else researching Flor who can give you more clues as to parents for Daniel.

Try his name both ways round when you are searching. Both of the records I found showed Daniel as the first name.

Will look into it, only concern with it unless the child had passed  not sure it could be them as Maurice my grandfather was an only child, or at least that's what we were told.

She was definitely their daughter Robynne. Both names were on the record. Maybe she died in infancy.
