Anyone willing to find Sidney Crosby's ancestry?

Question

Now that Sidney Patrick Crosby has proved himself to be one of the top three Canadian Ice Hockey players who ever lived (Gretsky, Lemieux and Crosby), after winning the STANLEY cup for the second time running last night - does anyone feel up to finding his ancestry?

His parents are Troy and Trina Crosby (nee Forbes) and since Sidney was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1987, I'm guessing that his parents are around my age - (born 1960 - 64).

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Linda Faye Crosby on Saturday April 13, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She slipped away peacefully at home surrounded by her children Stephen (Sue), Rhonda (Mohammed) and Troy (Trina). Linda was born on October 15, 1944 to the late Sidney and Nancy Ball

Linda is survived by her brothers Ralph(Gerine) Ball and Gerry (Theresa) Ball. She was predeceased by her common law husband Kenny Shrum and her younger sister Peggy (Kenny) Marshall

Definitely some useful information. Thanks.

I am currently working on another family right now.

I will get back to Sidney when I have taken this other family as far as I can go. Being Catholics, naturally there are several large families to look into.

I also am dealing with my husband. His younger brother died on Sunday and he is taking this really hard. Noone wants to lose a younger sibling.  The funeral is set for this coming Friday.

Right. So all we need to do is to add a spouse to Linda, and then add Troy and his wife Trina and then their son Sydney and thats another new Notable added. Well that sounds easy enough to do.

I'm too busy with my other Notable family. I'm sure someone else can do this "Easy" research!! LOL

 But I am glad that most of it has been done already.
