There is a gap of information surrounding Rachel 1790, daughter of Joseph Doan, one of the Plumbstead Tory Outlaws who escaped to Canada. My records show she married Zenas Kinsey b 1793, son of Benjamin Kinsey 1756-1831 and moved to Malihide, Ontario, but that's where the trail ends.
It picks up again with Zenas Kinsey 1817-1894, who also lived in Malihide and my GG Grandfather.
Problem is, records show Rachel Doan died, without a will in 1814... And there lies the problem.
I've come across a David and Rachel Kinsey with the same birth years as Zenas' brother David and Rachel Doan, but their children don't align with my tree.
The birth years of Zenas' siblings are spaced 1815, 1816, 1817 & 1819.
Is it possible that Rachel and Zenas had a child named Rachel, who died in childbirth in 1814? That could answer why there was no will.
If anyone has any information I've missed or overlooked, I'd be forever grateful. Linking the generation between Zenas Kinsey 1817 and Benjamin Kinsey 1756 is the only brick wall I have left.
Thank You.
