Well my 3ggrandfather, William Miller b28 Feb 1778 Luzerne, PA d 4 Aug 1852 Licking, Ohio, USA and his wife Delila (possibly Arnold) are said to come from Luzerne County  but i don't know if it's lower Luzerne or not.  I'd love to find his birth record whether or not he's from Luzerne or not..  William's son Washington Miller-33030 b 30 Aug 1820 shows in his obit being born in Luzerne, Pennsylvania.  Anything, even negative would be helpful.

There are Millers in the area and one of the cemeteries that I'm working on,St James cemetery in Nescopeck Twp does have Millers in it,I haven't come across any William but I'll make a note of it and do some looking.

Hi Butch,

I suggest you add the cemetery tag to your post.

Why don't you stop by the United States Cemeteries Project, currently led/coordinated by Lisa Franklin to see how you can participate?

I'll let the leaders know you are interested!

David,I am doing research for the cemetery project,I currently have a few pages on Wikitree for local cemeteries and I'm working on adding people in my tree to those cemeteries,I'm also working on trying to transcribe as much of the tombstone information in 2 cemeteries in Nescopeck twp into those pages, one of those,Mt Zion cemetery is one of the oldest in this township dating back to about 1800.

Thank you for your hard work on the cemetery project, Butch!

Hi Butch,

Not sure if your offer still stands... BUT, I'm searching for more information on my ancestors, and wondered if you could point me in the right direction to learn more about them.  They are: John Bauer (b. 16 Jun 1840 in Austria (Germany), d. 12 May 1922 in Weston (Black Creek Twp), PA, and his son, Joseph Bauer (b. 1 Apr 1872 in Austria (Germany), d 15 Feb 1904 in Weston, PA).  John Bauer was married to Anna Stepan (Stefan), and Joseph was married to Wilhelmina Lenhard (Lenhardt).  In particular, I'm trying to find out where in Austria (or Germany) the family comes from.  The only lead at this point I have is that the family may come from the area of Judenburg, Styria, Austria (but I can’t confirm that).  Also, any other biographical information is helpful.  Thanks for any help!
