Does anyone know of any Indians in the Pratt geneaolgy?

My grandmother, Nellie Pratt of Yarmouth, Maine (b. 1885) maintained that she was part Indian. Her father was Lewis Pratt, his father was Otis Briggs Pratt, and his father was David Pratt, who was an early shipbuilder in Yarmouth. (n.b. Lewis, Otis, and David are all buried in the old Yarmouth cemetery.) My grandmother said that David was an Indian. From all the Pratt genealogy I've seen, there is nothing to suggest that David was an Indian. I don't know where my grandmother got the idea that he was.

Does anybody know of any Indian ancestry -- anywhere -- the Pratt family tree that might account for my grandmother's belief?

It would be very hard to speculate as most would be mythology most likely your best bet would be to get DNA tested however that may or may not tell you.

This website doesn't have anything to do with Native Americans in Maine.  It a list of names assembled from records in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma).
