Detaching too many children

Looking at this profile and Mueller-2200 they are the same person however the wrong parentage on this profile (in process of research).  There are also too many children as documented by his will. can we separate the extra children from the parents.

NOTE  The LNAB ( Last name at birth) is Mueller.  CLN would be Miller.

LNAB should be Müller -- wikitree can handle the umlaut. He calls himself Miller in his will, so yes, CLN should be Miller.

A lot of the extra kids look like duplicates or conflations.  If any of them are from entirely different families, detach them.

Otherwise, make a list of the real kids.  What I'll do is take each real kid in turn, clean up one profile and get all the best-quality sources in that profile.  Take any profiles that are really duplicates of that one, and merge all the higher-numbered profiles into the lowest-numbered profile.

The actual children are listed in the bio of  2200. and Loechner-5

  1. John Jacob, born Sept. 24, 1728, in Europe
  2. John Heinrich, born Nov. 9, 1733
  3. Mary Elizabeth Barbara, born Sept. 9, 1736; m. Hess
  4. Matthias, born Oct. 1743, baptized by Rev. Joh. Casper Stoever

There were 2 Jacobs that immigrated on the same ship the other wifes name was Margaret I think they got mushed together.  Trying to find documentation on the other Jacob and his wife.  I PPd  Mueller 2200. Loechner-5 and Mueller-355 while this is sorted.

will not let me change the name Mueller-2200 is a redirected user, which cannot be changed.

dang thats weird told me I couldnt but it took
Computers!  Looks like Helmut Jungschaffer is right about them being different people, though.

Got to work on the Catherine Bio just found this on it https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4NYGmlKtcfCdldZUUtHNUNtTjA/edit
Looking at other discerpancies on Catherine Bio  it has the pic of Headstone for Margaret Miller which I think may be the correct mother of the other children
Brian check the profiles now but I have a lot of work to do on Catherine

To me it looks like Mueller-355 and Mueller-2200 are not the same. The Pink Johnson manifest lists both a Hans Jacob and a Jacob Müller, both names appear to be signed by a different hand. It looks to me that the copies of the will provided on Mueller-2200 should have precedence over the convoluted Ancestry notes on Mueller-355. Consequently, family members associated with Mueller-2200 and attached to Mueller-355 should be detached.

BTW, Last Name At Birth for both should be Müller, based on their names on the ship manifest as long as no birth records are found.

The location on Mueller-355 does not make much sense since it conflicts with the location given in the bio, and both locations don't really exist.

Helmut that was my guess for location a while ago when I first helped do the bio will change to just Germany for now

Maybe researching church books from Neipperg where supposedly the marriage took place can shed more light on the origin? The contact for the churchis

Evangelisches Dekanatamt Brackenheim
Dekan Jürgen Höss
Mörikestr. 6
74336 Brackenheim

Telefon: 07135 / 15242
Telefax: 07135 / 15252
Dekanatamt.Brackenheim@elkw.de

Maybe they can tell where records can be found. Hopefully one can avoid Archion which is a web portal for protestant church records but unfortunately not free.

Helmut I been reading the Bios I have my work cut out for me. Mueller-355 states wife name "Margaret"
The Neipperg location would be for Jacob Müller and Catharina Löchner. I have no idea where to start for Mueller-355.

The Odenwaldkreis in Hesse is only in existence since 1972 and none of the cities, villages, and city and village districts in it has a name even vaguely resembling Tierstein. Needless to say, there is no Tierstein, I only found a Thierstein in Bavaria near the border to the Czech Republic.
Helmut my cousin has some docs from the church  I will get them posted this weekend.  Thank you for your assitance
