The first, is the gedcom file which came with edition 2 of the Halls of Jamaica I have a copy (somewhere), I am sure. I've asked the author who wrote the book circa 2002, for his latest (updated) file, but his email address has changed.
The historical sections of it, as far as I have been able to tell from looking at family records, are well recorded. Due to the level of research that went into that book, the quality of the file is well supported, and (by and large) agreed on sites like ancestory.com
Given that the record is currently on rootsweb, which is not guaranteed to stay around... and given the author email no longer works ... it might be an idea. ..
The other file is a quite well researched set on the studdert / welsh / blood family. This doesn't necessarily look very clean, as their was a lot of intermarriage, to say the least. The Welsh family were burnt out of the farms in Newtown, Clare in around 1886 -> and moved to Bunratty castle.
We've got some early photography of family in the donkey cart (the Welsh family), yes, we were the poor relatives (who repeatedly are referred to as "The Rev. Welsh" for generation on generation ... )
I'm currently pondering the best way of dealing with these.
