Record numbers shown on "Biography" the actual numbers to quote when ordering a copy?

Are the record numbers shown on a birth certificate shown on a Biography the actual correct numbers?  Can I use this to obtain copies?

I believe the record numbers on that profile are just extra data from the gedcom import.
