Why am I unable to merge two profiles

Question

I would like to merge Fraser-3113 and Fraser-4463 as they are the same person.  I have permission from the profile manager of Fraser-3113 to merge the two.  She is the direct descendant of Fraser-3113 and I am a third cousin once removed of hers. Can we both be listed as Profile Managers?

The merge has been proposed, but not yet approved by either manager:

Both managers need to approve the merge using WikiTree's merging system. You may need to assist the other manager if she is not familiar with the merging procedures. Or just post back again for additional help!

Once the merge is completed, you both will be listed as profile managers.

You may have listed those Wiki IDs incorrectly.  Fraser-3113 was born in the 1920s; Fraser-4463 was born in 1510...

I am mystified.  Fraser-3113 is Violet (Fraser) Hart, yellow lock, born 1920s and Fraser-4463 is Janet (Ross) Fraser, open, born 1510.  Aren't they?

Ros, I can't see 4463 any more because the merge has now been done.  I do see that the bio has not been cleaned up, though, and recognize both bios that I saw in the separate profiles yesterday, as well as both managers of the original two profiles.

Someone on the trusted list needs to clean up the bio now and the sources that were listed on the one that had them need the citations expanded to better identify where the records can be located.

The profiles I saw were clearly for the same person, Ros. Perhaps you had a technical glitch or some editing had been done before I saw the profiles. Or there may have been another proposed merge for Fraser-3113 and Ross-4463, which is the profile for Janet (Ross) Fraser born in 1510!
