Suggestion Find A Grave Error 571 should also check name parameter in Template FindAGrave

Suggestion Database Error 572 should not be trigger if parameter #4 is set in the Template:FindAGrave to match the FindAGrave name

  • e.g. Bernadotte-18 WikiTree Wilhelm Carl Ludvig (Bernadotte) av Sverige och Norge (1884 - 1965)

    is the same person as

This link is created with
{{FindAGrave|15926431|~~~~|Wilhelm of Sweden}}
==>
{{FindAGrave|15926431|[[Sälgö-1|Sälgö-1]] 02:04, 4 April 2017 (EDT)|Wilhelm of Sweden}}

==> #4 = Wilhelm of Sweden

Suggestion Compare Wilhelm of Sweden with name at Memorial #15926431 if the same ==> no error triggered

Ps, I feel it's time to change recommendations inside Wikitree to strongly support use of Templates for external linking. FIndAGrave announced change of URL and Project Database Error both benefits if we use Templates. Maybe add an error in Project Database if you link FindAGrave without a template....

The best argument for using templates I think is that we get better citations inside WikiTree and that we also can format all citations in a consistent way. Too many people don't add retrieved dates when using external links or the name at the target cite which is best practise...

Adding a name in template doesn't make it a connection to profile. It can still be relative.

Solution would be to add parameter Relative=1. That would define link as non profile link. Without the parameter it would be presumed profile link. If there are 2 or more templates without Relative=1 then linking would be done like it is now (based on name and dates).

Agree more parameter is better but more difficult for the user. I would like to start use SamesAs

or

as FindAGrave is such a big player in the genealogy echo system in the States a field on the WikiTree profile that says FindAGraveID(s)

If we start moving down the template path it could also be parameters for documented difference ==> that the WikiTree profile has documentation in the Research Notes that we have a difference...

Wikidata has now opened up to search in more sources at the same i.e. Federated search

see User:Smalyshev_(WMF)/Federation

==> the same as concept makes more sense as then e.g. we will in the future see queries like

  •  Wikidata Q435739 is same as Bernadotte-18 that is same as FindAGrave gravestage memorial 15926431 ==>
    • we could easy see if all WikiTree persons with same as has a FindAGrave entry in Wikidata and not in WikiTree....
  • Find all Wikitree profiles with same as in FindAGrave that has a grave at Ljubljana-Zavoglje cemetery  that I will visit today... maybe Rozalija Trtnik
  • Display all Wikipedia profiles with an Project Database Error in WikiTree in 100 km from where I live...
I have been using the template. Where does relative parameter go? When there is an infant grave I add it to the mother. Also I have found a cause where someone is mentioned on the spouse grave, but it does not link to their grave.
It doesn't go anywhere. It was just an idea.
