Gedcom report skip button is checked but no matches are given

I added a Gedcom file and many people in the tree are checked 'skip'. Documentation suggests there are matches for these people but no suggestions are given. What do I do? Import or not? Very confusing. For example the URL below is for my grandfather. There are no parents or siblings yet his mother in my Gedcom is checked skip. What does that mean? She exists somewhere else cuz I can't find her.  Help!

Thanks.

Hi Renee,

I'm not sure if you're still looking for an answer. My apologies that you haven't gotten one until now.

The "skip" checkbox should be under your control. If you don't expect that someone already exists on WikiTree, you don't need to skip them. If you do think they're already on WikiTree, you should skip them regardless of whether our system finds the match. Our matching system is very conservative so as to not overwhelm you (most already feel overwhelmed by the matching/skipping).

If the skip button is checked and cannot be unchecked, it might mean that the person doesn't have a birth or death date.
