The scientist associated with the subject question made that statement and I wonder has anyone figured out why and how. On a straight line ancestry (takes two humans to make one) it would take over two trillion humans just to make me and thats only 38 generations. In my case only back to about 750 AD. We know that many humans have not been on this planet, so what is the answer?

I've been curious about that subject for some time.  Joseph, could you point us to the place where you found that info?
