My current gedmatch# is G840231, just sent away Ftdna family finder.

Question

Hoping to connect with Family here. I did the Genes for Good from Michigan University and downloaded it too Gedmatch but there are some parts that didn't load correctly. I just sent in my Family Finder test Monday but until I get that back I have been connecting with people from the # G840231.

Is Genes for Good a free DNA test? Did I read that right?

Yes it is :) If you have a Facebook search Genes for Good app. It is through the University of Michigan I know several people who have done it with good results. You answer some health surveys and they send you a saliva test and it is all free. And it can be loaded into Gedmatch also.

That's great to know that Genes for Good can be loaded to GEDmatch. With all of that being FREE, I hope more people do DNA tests. I tested with 23andme and uploaded to GED. My kit is M192213. Others in my family are M192540 and M141146. I compared to your # and did not match.
