Franziskus (Frank) Schneider - 1915 New York Census

Question

I have records of my ancestor Franziskus (Frank) Schneider arriving in New York in 1914, and then next of his marriage, birth of first child, and draft registration for 1918. In between, New York had a census in 1915, but I haven't been able to find Franziskus/Frank.

Does anyone have any tips for how I might find him? On his arrival form it says he has a brother named Simon but I have not been able to confirm this from any other record. It is likely he moved to Brooklyn as that was where he was living in 1918 - his profession was as a carpenter.

A short update: I looked through the 1915 New York City Directory and found a Frank Schneider, listed as a carpenter, living at 183 1/2 Cherry St in Manhattan. This area was right across the bridge from Brooklyn, so among the Frank Schneiders listed I think this has the greatest possibility of being him.

However, I'm having trouble finding this address in the 1915 NY Census. It is enumerated in the 1910 Federal Census, so I assume people were still living there.

Thanks for the help Frank. I have yet to find his grave on Find a Grave - I might have to call up Mount Olivet cemetery.

As for the census, infortunately it looks like this isn't him - according to the arrival documents he came alone, and his marriage record says his father's name was Jonas.

It's possible that Jonas in Europe, would be modified to John in the USA.
