Is anyone actively managing profile for Turner Perry (Perry-3742)?

Question

Turner Perry was born in Warren, GA in  1797.  He married Rhoda Goodman in Wilson County, TN in 1817.

I believe the profile was created in 2013 and the only action since then was a photograph I posted in Apr 2015 and two comments I've posted.  If no profile manager steps forward I would very much like to assume responsibility for this profile.

Thank you all for your guidance and comments.  I am following Shirley Dalton's guidance on what you should do PRIOR to submitting an unresponsive profile manager form.  I really did not know that's all there was to it.  And to think I've limped along for many, many months before I finally appealed to a leader in desperation!  I could have kept a lot more of my hair!

And I think we should all take Mary Beth's advice to heart regardless of age.  The trick is finding someone else in the family who has a level of interest who want to be added to your Trusted Lists.

You will need to file an Unresponsive Profile Manager form in order to have this profile, and any related ones, released for adoption. If you go to Turner Perry's profile and click Family Tree & Tools, then scroll all the way to the bottom you will find a link for the unresponsive profile form.

You need to first document that you have made efforts to contact the profile manager by sending them a message, posting on their profile, and requesting to be added to the trusted list for Turner's profile. If you get no response within a week, then you can go ahead and file the form.

I wish there was a way to deal with this type of situation in a faster easier fashion. There is a whole group of people who join WikiTree upload a GEDCOM play a bit and then find it doesn't work for them. Good part ...new profiles added...bad part poorly sourced incomplete profiles with a difficult slow procedure to make corrections. I feel at the least that if contributions have been not made by a member in a 2, 4, or 5 year period, their profiles should be freed up for adoption. It could be written into the WikiTree sign up so it was known prior to joining. My rant of the day...sorry...pet peave.

This is why I try to add 'trusted members'.  I am old.  What if I die?  I want someone to be able to respond to questions.

These people we add past the first generation belong to many and many more the further we go back.  They are not 'mine' but 'ours'.
