Will a search include the last name of a married woman if it isn't listed in the current last name space?

I see lots of debates going on about the current last name issue and I don't mean to start another one.   I just want to make sure I understand the search matrix...   For example, if I search for a woman whose name is Rebecca Smith and Smith is her married name. Her LNAB is Jones.  I did not enter Smith in the Current last name of her profile but have her spouse listed as John Smith.   Do I understand it correctly that she will NOT show up on a search of Rebecca Smith.

Yes, you have it correctly.

Thank you.   Guess I have some editing to do.   This was a bit confusing because most genealogy software I have seen has the woman listed with her maiden name but their search matrix includes the married name.

No, it won't. If you don't want to have Smith in Current Last Name then add it to Other Last Name.

Tom and Rosemary have answered your question, but there's one additional wrinkle you should know about:

Unfortunately, if the woman's LNAB is "Unknown", she will not show up in the results when you search for her by her Current Last Name or an "Other Last Name."

People with LNAB of Unknown will appear in the Surnames list under their Current Last Name (but not any Other Last Names) if you sort the list, then select the option to "include people with current last name" in the search results, but aside from that they seem to be invisible to WikiTree Search.

Thank you
Thanks
