Need help with the Tidd families from OH.

Question

I need help with my Tidd family from OH. My father, Robert Charles Tidd, was born in Mansfield in 1920 and his father was Frank Samuel Tidd married to Stella Hoover from the same area. My ggrandfather was William Tidd from Zanesville (I think), married to Sarah Martin  but I cannot get any info. on him or anyone beyond him. I have been hitting this brick wall for years. Any info. will help! I don't think this line is part of the Woburn Tidds but I'm not sure.

Hi Patricia! Welcome to WikiTree!

I found right away that the profile connected to this message is not actually part of the family we're looking at... apparently working on uploading a GEDCOM. (Although I would strongly recommend entering, sourcing, and working a few profiles manually before deciding to do a GEDCOM upload... but that's a whole different subject)

There was a Tidd power plant on the Ohio River south of the Wheeling Wv area I worked on a project thwn they replaced the old fashioned boiler with a pressurized boiler as a way of reducing emmisions and improving efficiency.  Was the plant named after one of your relatives?
