The approach I usually use in a case like this, is to first document what you *think* you already know. What I mean by this is take a hard look at this profile.
It's basically unsourced.
All we know is that the Profile Manager says that it is her great grandfather.
There is a wife, but no profiles of children (so... how can this be a direct ascendant of the Profile Manager?).
I would first find sources for this person, and any known people surrounding this person. His wife. Any children. Siblings. Siblings children.
Find out which sources, and profiles, are really clear and valid.
Then use all of this information to start working your way backwards in time.
My strong guess is that by doing this surrounding work, it will give you some clues as to who are the right parents and where this person belongs.
