Would you like to help solve a century old mystery?
I am researching a DNA connection and think it is possible that Alice McGlothin is the birth mother of my ancestor Roy Reynolds Johnson.
A letter that my great great grandfather Roy Johnson received from his adopted aunt, Leona Dalton, gave some information that may match Alice as his birth mother. She wrote "your father's name was Reynolds your mother's first name was Alice, she having married a second time a man by the name of House. You had 2 half brothers one named Alfred."
In the 1910 Census his name was listed as Roy Reynolds Dalton, later his name appeared as Roy Johnson (the name he had at death).
Do you know anything of this Alice? There does not appear to be many other sources that I can find yet.
