I and several other descendents of Mary Belyea of Carlton Co New Brunswick have hit a brick wall. She was bortn probably 1802 and married David Archibald of Nova Scotia.

Her parents are listed as Henry and Rachel Belyea. I am unable to find any information on her parents.

Hi: Have you searched  this web site http://archives.gnb.ca.

This is the web site for the New Brunswick vital records. They maybe married in Nova Scotia so here is the website http://www.novascotiagenealogy.com

I have a lot of Belyea profiles. Hope you find some info. on one of these websites..Marie

I am aware of both the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick sites and have spent hours combing page by page. There are many Mary Belyea/Bulyea listed. I've only been able to find Mary's death certificate on PANS. Apparently, her husband David Archibald and her parents Henry and Rachel Belyea/Bulyea are still out there walking around...  ;-)
Hi: I have found the information that you are looking for. Mary was also known as Margaret Belyea. Information can be found at http://skmacnutt.ca/keith/genealogy/tmg/p1216.htm#i53416.

Main  Database MacNutt-Murray History. F#53416 Person Pg 1216.

Scroll down on this page to obtain her info....Marie
Thank you! "Margaret" is not a name I usually think of as an alternative to "Mary."

I have her death as 08 Feb 1874 according to PANS. Still looking for her burial place. I have not found any info on her husband, David Archibald, death date or burial.

Now on to look for the mysterious father of Mary/Margaret. There are a gazillion Henry Bulyea/Belyea and not a one married to a "Rachel." The search continues!

Thank you so very much for your help, Marie!
Hi: You are  very welcome. Could she be the daughter of Henry Belyea and Rachel Archibald??  Hope it's ok  that I'll kept searching  until  we solve this...Marie
I don't mind you continuing your search at all! I am grateful for any help I can get on these people!

I hadn't come across Rachel Archibald and Henry Belyea. I came across a Rachel Belyea, but the age wasn't right for giving birth to Mary. This may actually help explain why David Archibald went to New Brunswick and married and apparently stayed there for a few years. They were married in New Brunswick and their three oldest children were baptised there.

Still looking!

Pat
Hi Pat: I have found a website for the Archibald  Family:
