Does anyone have access to Mayflower Quarterly, volume 72 from 2006? I'm looking for an article entitled, "Identification of Mary Holmes of Plymouth, Part 2", by Judith Haddock Swan. It appears on pages 43-47. I've checked local libraries, and so far have not found it.

You might want to contact a local Morman Family History Center and see if they have a copy or let them check the records at Salt Lake City to see if it can be found online. or can be brought to their site.

I do have a copy of what you are looking for. Are you looking for something specific? Let me know.

Thanks, Tom. I'm working on my application for the society with Richard Warren. The article I posted my question about may shed some additional light on Mary Holmes that would be helpful to my application, but I'm not sure.

I've made it through the Preliminary Review, and am now submitting the Preliminary Application. Since the fees are mostly unrefundable, I thought I'd try to double- and triple-check my information to be certain there aren't glaring issues, and Mary Holmes' information may (or may not) help with that.

I have basically added the information I have available on Mary (Holmes) Hammond to her profile. Does the article refute her parents, spouse or child Ruth (Hammond) Pope? If it goes beyond Mary, does it refute or support information in Ruth's profile for Ruth (Hammond) Pope in terms of marriage and children?

Many thanks

I see by your on line tree that you are a descendant of Richard Warren. Are you a member of the  Mayflower Society? You can obtain a copy through them.

Working on membership app with Richard Warren. See response to your previous answer.

Thank you.

Sounds like you are doing it the right way. I have five documented lines to the Mayflower myself. The State historian/genealogist is there to help make sure that all the documentation is in place before submitting your application. He/she will let you know if every thing is good before you pay your dues and fees. The Mayflower Quarterly gives the same documentation for Mary Holmes that MF:18:2:59 does. As long as you have documentation from you to Mary, you will be fine. Congratulations on your effort to join our society. You will be a welcome member.

Thank you again, Tom.

It feels rather daunting, but I've never backed away from a challenge :)
