Neely's of Louisiana

Looking for info on my great grandfather, John Wesley Neely c.1877-1954, who was from Alabama. He passed away in New Orleans, LA. His mother was listed as Martha Acker on his death certificate. I've been having a hard time finding information on him in Alabama. He moved to New Orleans in his mid to late 40s and married Rose Matthews (widow of Edward Leonard) and fathered 6 children. Any info on the Neely's of Louisiana and Alabama would be greatly appreciated.

This one is a long shot - on his WWI draft record - nearest relative is Martha Acker of Hancock, MS.  There is a John Nealey b. abt 1877 in AL, son of James and Martha Neeley, living in Hancock, MS in 1880.  All other children b. in MS.  Possibly James died and Martha remarried Acker?   Records posted below in case you recognize and of the siblings names and can make a connection.  Looks like only 4 of Martha's children survived.
