The data is from my gedcom, how should it be corrected? (There are several thousand.)

Hi Philip,

There is no way to automatically make thousands of changes to thousands of profiles at one time on WikiTree. (This is one of the reasons that the GEDCOM FAQ stresses the importance of smaller, more manageable GEDCOMs and being very cautious about upload.)

This particular error was created because your GEDCOM had references to "repository" records in your GEDCOM, but those links were broken because the repository records did not exist. It's certainly an opaque error message and ought to be improved. And, as you note, it serves no purpose in the profiles.

I'm sorry I don't have better news for you.

Chris,

Thank you.  I guess I was not clear - What I wanted to know was how to fix the problem - that is what code should I use to add the repository in the sources section in my wikitree.  I can cut and past the new code as I go through all of the profiles.
Hi Philip,

Do you know the repository? That's where the source can be located, e.g. a particular library or personal collection. If you know where to find the source it's a good thing to include. If you don't, just delete that line.

Cheers,

Chris

Chris,

Thanks for you help.  I was able to write a line to replace the error message that works.  Here is my solution:

Error message:

No REPO record found with id I1.

Delete error message and replace line with:

* Repository: <span id='#I1’>I1</span> Name:  Collection of Philip Wayne Smith [[Smith-40964]].

I have tested this on several source pages and it seems to work fine.
