If you're looking for GERMAN immigrants to Pennsylvania from 1709 to 1786, I recommend the book  edited by DON YODER  titled  PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN IMMIGRANTS  1709-1786.  The book includes names, relatives, where in Germany the families are from, where and when they arrived in America and some brief anecdotes.  HE CITES HIS SOURCES.

Do you have the book? I just posted a question about it that maybe you could answer.

Thanks!
There's a search link on http://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/001530047 where you can see whether a particular surname or place name is in the book, and get page numbers. Unfortunately, although I have several Pennsylvania German ancestors who presumably emigrated during that period, I was able to find only one of the surnames I looked for.

Does the book have any limitations on geographic or religious scope that might exclude some of our ancestors?

I am going to add this as a resource to the William Penn Project! Thanks for mentioning it!
