In the search for [[Lewis-17274|Mary Margaret Johnston's (née Lewis)]] birth parents, I came across two sources recently, listing Marion, Indiana County, Pennsylvania as the birth place. I have written to the Indiana County Historical Society and they weren't much help. The guy suggested that maybe it was Marion, Dauphin County... I believe the birth place in question is Marion Center, Indiana County as many records have shortened names due to length I tend to think it is indeed the Marion Center.
Now I know Peter Lewis and [[Yohe-133|Anna Maria Yohe]] are the parents... Many people have Peter Lewis as the [[Lewis-24963|Peter H Lewis]] (turns out to be my Peter's 1st cousin) but I had fallen into that trap before where then I never came across Mary Margaret as his daughter. I believe there were two Peter Lewises born approximately the same time at Bucks County, PA and both had wives named Mary (one Yohe and one Sames). I haven't gotten any further than finding an 1850 Census record with parents Abraham and Mary (Beringer) Lewis which is different than the Peter H Lewis parents (Jacob Lewis and Maria Horn)... Does anyone have any information regarding listed individuals?
