John Laughton (1616-1675), a descendant of one of the oldest Laughton families in England, connected with the village of Laughton-en-le-Northern in Yorkshire, who has been traced back to Sir John de Laughton Knt of the 14th Century, has now been connected by 45 degrees to A J Jacobs and 39 degrees to Queen Elizabeth II. Some of the descendants now live in South Africa. Thanks to Hadrian Teasdale and Andrew Collier for assistance with that.
