Looking for ancestors of Peter Lawson, my great-great-grandfather, born in 1820 in an unknown location, died May 23, 1890 in Youngstown, Pennsylvania. He married Rosanna (Rose) Poorman. His son, Samuel Lawson, who lived in Latrobe, PA, is my great-grandfather. I would like to be able to trace Peter Lawson's ancestry back to England where I believe that we are descendants of the Howard-Lawson Baronetcy. Family oral history told of our being related to Anne Bolelyn. The United States census records give conflicting birth locations for Peter Lawson including New York, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. I would appreciate hearing from anyone familiar with the Peter Lawson family of Youngstown, PA, the Samuel Lawson family of Latrobe, PA, and the Catharine Lawson Wineland family of Westmoreland County. My family tree includes ancestors and descendants of the Sanner, Blystone, Lawson, and Wentzel families of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
