The ancestry and geneology sites are a mess for pre 1750 ancestors. There are so many Jame's, John's, Robert's, Daniel's, David's Archibalds and Pethricks born in Antrim between 1680 and 1720 that cousins and uncles are listed as siblings under the same mother.

Many say David McBride/McCurdy b.1750 or 1752 is father of my ancestor John b.1793 in Maine but I feel it is wrong. I think David McCurdy of Maine who married Chandler is of local family in New hampshire or Maine. The other McBride/McCurdy's went as a family to the finger lakes Ontario, New york.

Thank you

According to the book Early McCurdys in Maine Daniel's parents are Thomas McCurdy and Elizabeth Hilton. Thomas is the son of John McCurdy and Anna Hilton, my 4th great grandparents.
