I believe my Father, Michael Davison, was born in Sunderland but the family moved to Newcastle. My Grandmother's maiden name was Mary  'Daker' or 'Daeker' and my Grandfather was also Michael. I think there may have been nine children in the family, not sure. My Dad served in the Merchant navy in WW2 and in 1956 (I think) he married Maud Mary Davison and their daughter is Caroline Mary Davison.

Caroline's mother's maiden name is wrongly(?) recorded as Radley ... is this just a misreading of Borley?

Looks like it's the other way round ... the BORLEY on the GRO is wrong and it should be RADLEY.

This Maud M Radley born 1920 looked promising:

"England and Wales Birth Registration Index, 1837-2008," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2NMX-LC7 : accessed 5 April 2016), Maud M Radley, 1920; from "England & Wales Births, 1837-2006," database, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : 2012); citing Birth Registration, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland, England, citing General Register Office, Southport, England

Hi

That's her, that is my Mother. She was married previously to Charles Borley, my Dad was her second husband, sorry I should have said that in my original question.

Thanks

Caroline

Thanks to all for their help. It actually made me cry looking at their names. I would love to know where my relatives are now as I did not have the chance to meet any of my Aunts or Uncles due to circumstances. I am keen to find any living relative as I need some medical information. So this is not just about family trees for me. Once again thanks very much for all the help so far, you are all very kind.

Thanks.
