I AM AT A LOSS AND I WONDERED IF THERE is any person at the same STAGE?

My gran Euphemia McKenna born  Nhill circa 1890 married my grandad at the Sod Hut in South Australia - they then had a daughter (my Auntie) Jean Temperance broad in 1914.  THEN I do not know what happened they suddenly disappeared and ended up in launceston Tasmania where my mum was born Betty MacDonald in 1921

For some reason on the birth certificates the first says Jean Broad  Father Francis Nicholas BroAD and then on my mum's it says Frank MaDonald. (Both were hairdressers)  I am unable to locate a death for Frank Broad nor a  2nd wedding for Effie (nickname) to Francis MacDonald.i

Were they being chased - I really don't mind as I am the only living relative and would like to sort it for my two daughters.
