McIntosh DNA on living person's page

I had to post results of my 3rd cousin's DNA in the side bio, since I don't know how to make his regular bio visible since he is still living. He consented to having it posted. I also posted pictures of his DNA certificates, but they only show up in private view. Can you make suggestions for his page? Also, I want his results show up the tree, and don't know if I did it right. His page is [Mcintosh-2178| Laird McIntosh]. Thanks. [Hall-19106| Marnie]

Hello Marnie,

Laird's MitoSearch ID  is US86U

Ask him to add it to his DNA Tests page in WikiTree.  If you want people to know his mtDNA  coding region results then have them in the note field for his mtDNA information on his DNA Tests page.

If he does not know how to make these changes then ask  to be on his trusted list for his profile and you can do it for him.

Then delete your public message about his DNA from his profile.

Sincerely, Peter

You could set the privacy on his profile to yellow - Private with public biography and family tree. Then whatever you post in the bio would be visible.

If DNA information is in the tester's bio then their DNA is not automatically associated with the tester's ancestry according to the type of DNA test.  If it is in the tester's DNA Tests page then it is properly associated.
