How do you source photos in WikiTree?

How do you all source your photos/images? Do you do it in the sources section of "biography"? Do you do it in the "comments" section of the photo? Or both? I have not added a lot of photos as of yet to my profile so had not really looked into it before. It seems to me having a source attached to the image would be a good thing so does the "comment" section suffice for that? I believe the comments exist "outside" the Wiki language so I imagine that if you try to use any of the source coding in the comment section it will not work. Any thoughts or ideas on what works for you?

I've been wondering the same thing. I have been adding snippets to some profiles of old census transcriptions from public domain documents that have been scanned and are hosted by Google Books and I would like to provide a link back to the source.

Like you, I noticed that the comment section is not wikified, so URLs don't automatically become links. Using the biography of a related profile seems like a work-around to me. If the image is linked to multiple profiles, should I copy that info to all the profiles?

Perhaps adding a "caption" field to the image allowing freeform wiki text could be used to add source info or other relavant information.
While you can't use wiki markup in the comments, you can use HTML, so links are still possible.

Thanks for the tip Lianne,

I just tried it with the following image and I got something like I was looking for. I guess I had previously tried adding a bare or wiki-formatted URL and neither produced a clickable link.

one of the profile examples has source information in the comments - http://www.wikitree.com/photo/Tombstone_for_George_Archibald_Weiss.JPG

Unless it's from my own collection,I have been trying to make sure to put the photographer's attribution or their Creative Commons copyright in the comment section with a link if applicable. Like here : http://www.wikitree.com/photo/Mahony-37.jpg

But now I am thinking I should put source info on all my images like census, baptism records, ect.
