It appears that a Jone Stoodley married Simion Hoyt on 4 November 1617 at the Parish Church of Saint Mary in Marshwood, Dorsetshire, England. Though I normally don't rely on Find A Grave as a reliable source - especially for pre-1800 information - there is a photo on her memorial of this marriage record. The photo cites as it's source Dorset Parish Registers, volume 5, page 82; Phillmore and Company, 1910.
Could you please look at the image of the Hoyt-Stooley marriage record and see if you think it is appropriate to add a profile for Jone/Joan Stoodley and connect her as Simon Hoyt's first wife? Joan's Find A Grave profile also suggests that she is the wife of Simon's oldest children, and the names of four of the five children listed match the names of the children excluded from Simon's widow's will, according to research already done on this profile.
