Why do I have a "connection to AJ" in my menu selections?

Question

Who is Al Jacobs? Why do I have this unneeded menu selection? I looked at the "32 degrees of separation", and it is just pointless. I don't even have an Al Jacobs as a relative.

It was a fun excersize leading up to the Global Family Reunion in 2015. It helped to show we are all connected in some way...it has limited geanealogic importance, but many had a lot of fun with it.

Yes, indeed, it WAS fun.  But that was 2015.  It is no longer 2015.  Could this menu item be removed, please?

AJ Jacobs is an author, and organizer of the Global Family Reunion in 2015.  This option was to facilitate people who wanted to participate in that initiative.  If you are not interested, don't worry about it.  -NGP

If you're connected to AJ, there are 7 million other profiles you're also connected to.

If you aren't, that's 7 million profiles you're not connected to.  You're on your own private island, not yet part of the One Great Family.

Hey Graham,

It was and is something that we are working on. I haven't heard about a Global Family Reunion for 2016, but AJ is working on a Book as a part of the research he did, and we, WikiTree volunteers, helped him with.

The link to AJ will stay because as AJ does speaking engagements now, and later to promote the book, we will have people coming to our site to discover their connection to him.

It was and is a great project and as Brett states, It was and is great fun. WikiTree is all about connecting us all to our great big ole shared tree so this is just another way to help do that!

What do you think about changing the menu item to something without AJ's name, at least until we know if there is another reunion? Ideas?
