Married in Morristown NJ, died in Sandyston, NJ.  I need proof of who his father was.  They say it was Jonathan, but there is no concrete proof.

I believe that Jonathan Emery and Jerusha Barron are the parrents of Jacob. I am a direct decendant of Jacob. I have taken dna test with ancestry and have many dna matches to decendants of Jerusha. I believe he was born in Dracut Mass. And as a young man wrnt to New Jersey to fight the war in 1778. David Emery an older son of Jonathan also went to Morristown New Jersey in 1778 serving in Washingtons guard. I believe he met Elizabeth Ross there got married and settled there. Alot is speculation but the dna isn't.

I match with a descendant of Jacob Emery on Ydna.  Our Ydna does NOT match that of the New England Emery’s
Since my comment about Jonathan I have taken y-dna test and also do not match the Emerys of Newbury. I do have a common match to an Emery that lives in Mass. His decendant is a George Emery b. 1789 from Dedham Mass. Did you have any matches?
