Private profiles in Girouard family, not public unable to adopt

Question

Hi, I have adopted several of the Girouard profiles and having trouble adopting the rest of the siblings of Joseph Girouard: Girouard-1954 and his wife Marie (LeBouthiller) Girouard:  LeBouthiller-3.

The couple had about 16 children and I was trying to keep the family together. Those that have the red or private level are as follows:

Delphine Girouard : Girouard-1986

Odele Girouard: Girouard-1985

Eva Girouard:  Girouard-1994

John Girouard:  Girouard-1994

*These were born in the early 1910's and 1920's so I doubt they are still alive.

Then the last two are Frank Girouard, Girouard-1972

and Edgar Girouard, Girouard-2014

*They were born in the mid 1930's and may or may not be alive.

 

Anyway the privacy level can be put to open please so we can adopt them??? I was working on one at a time but had to skip over the list that I was unable to get to.

The following are updates I wanted to add to those profiles among other changes:

*Delphine Girouard married Melvin Savoy in 1935 and had two children.  Then Delphine Girouard married Jack Ross in 1945 and had three children. 

*Odele Girouard was married to Felix Doucette in 1937 and had seven children. 

*Eva Girouard married Gerry Vienneau and had four children. **Note: She died in 1922.

*John Girouard married Anna Breau and had eight children  

I have been working with Wiki Tree member Ray Girouard,  (Girouard-3408)  to find documents like birth and marriage certificates for this particular Girouard family.  We have been working together since last December 2014 on this family.

So far I haven't heard anything since Dec 17th on Wiki Tree's decision. All together there are about 16 children in this Girouard family and without these six profiles it limits the growth of the Girouard tree.  

If anyone can add these to those closed private profiles it may help in the future rather then deleting them because they do not have information on their deaths and they have the "PRIVATE", Strictly limited public information attached to them.

Dorothy, Unfortunately, unless you are a family member you will not be permitted to adopt profiles for living people.  There is a little bit of good news, though - someone born more than 100 years ago is presumed dead and you will be able to adopt profiles that meet this criteria.

There is something very strange about Delphine (the one I looked at).  It is not supposed to be possible for a living (or born less than 100 years ago with no death date entered) profile to be orphaned.  I thought that AdminWikiTree is supposed to automatically become the profile manager of these and WikiTree will delete them.

Please write to info -at- wikitree.com and explain it to them.  They will change the privacy on the ones who are no longer living (or presumed no longer living) so that you can adopt them.  If you are a family member then they will also permit you to adopt the possibly still living ones..
