The Indiana Marriage Index on Ancestry.com names her Susan Ellen Davis:

The 1860 census (Patoka, Gibson, Indiana) identifies them as both born Indiana. She was 22 then (at least per the census) which would make her 12 in the 1850 census. Let's see if we can find her...

There are three Susan E Davises in Gibson County, Indiana, but only one of them in Patoka; she's in a family unit that looks like this:

Emus Davis, 46, farmer, b Kentucky? 

Elizabeth, 41, b VA?

William H., 23, b Ky?

Susan E., 13, b Ia (which I think means Indiana)

Hezekiah B. (male), 8, b Ia

James K.P., 2, b Ia

The gaps between William and Susan (10 years) and Hezekiah and James (6 years) suggests the possibility of different mothers.

There are Woods on this page, too. (page 60). William G. Woods is on the next page, son of James C and Mary.

So it looks like they were neighbors.

And according to the 1850 mortality schedule, one Emus Davis born in 1827 Kentucky, died in Gibson County, June 1850. (Found via familysearch.org) So it looks like Emus and Elizabeth had a son Emus Jr who died around the time the census was taken. Well, actually, we don't know that the younger Emus was son of the older one.

AND.... in the 1860 census, Elizabeth is head of household, so likely a widow, living with Hezekiah and James.
