How do I enter the English pound symbol in a biography?
in WikiTree Help by E. Hindmarch G2G2 (2.9k points)
Or, find the symbol somewhere on line and copy paste it to your scratch pad. then you can just copy paste anywhere needed.

I do that because I can never remember the information given by Christine.

Press and hold the ALT key and type the number 0163 to make a Pound symbol.

This didn't work for me for some unknown reason.  So, I'll do the copy & paste suggestion.  Thanks to you both.
I could be wrong, but for that, I think you need to have Num Lock on and you need to do the numbers on the keyboards number pad (tenkey).
Hi E.  Most (maybe all) word processors have a function on the menu bar to insert special characters into a text document.  Like M, I can't remember the unicodes, and it's time consuming to look them up, so I have found it useful to keep a text document that contains all the special characters I would typically use, and just copy/paste them into profiles.  So far WikiTree seems to accept all of them and render them correctly.

Yes, I agree, it is hard to remember - I also put Pound symbol: £, and any others I often use into my WikiTree "Scratchpad" (on your Home page), as it's easy to find and just copy from there.
