Newt Cook-27795 ... my brickwall ancestor

My great great grandfather was Albert G.Cook born in1808 in Kentucky. He married three times and his last wife Leara Scott was my great great grandmother. I have hit a brick wall in trying to find out who were his parents. It is not George Bryant and Nancy Cook. From DNA, it appears that Albert was of German, Welsh, and English descent. In the 1840 census, he indicates that his father was born n Kentucky. Albert could write his name, which suggests that he had some schooling. Any help out there? Thanks, John Cook

Yes, that is the Albert G. Cook. I know a lot about his life from the records, but no help as to who were his parents. A lot of trees list George Bryant Cook and Nancy Cook. However, Nancy was barely 11 years old when Albert was born.  Also, George and Nancy were not married until 1813. So, the mystery goes on.
