Hussy-18 appears to be his father. All that is left is to confirm the father's birth and death: a prior researcher came up with precision dates and locations, but did not provide a source for them. I was able to locate the parental marriage record, however, so I suspect that with some further digging, we can find the matching birth and death record for his father.

The son, John Hussey (abt.1570-1632), who on 5 Dec 1593 married in Dorking, Surrey, Marie Wood (Abt. 1572-Abt. 1660), jas a birth date would appear to be after 30 Jul 1574:

  • John Hussey, son of John Hussey, was baptised on 5 Oct 1578 in Boughton Under Blean, Kent, England. Citing:
  • Baptism: "FreeReg UK Parish Register database" Kent; Boughton Under Blean; St Peter and St Paul; Parish Register; File line number: 228 FreeReg Transcription (accessed 11 April 2024) John Hussey baptism on 5 Oct 1578, son of John Hussey, in Boughton Under Blean, Kent, England.

Picking up from the article that's posted on his potential grandson's page, Christopher Hussey, the descent from Lord Hussey would mean that this John's father would be [[Hussy-18|John Hussy (1559-1606)]]. Thus far, I did at least find the confirmatory marriage record of that John, but have not yet been able to reproduce the birth and death records (though my search has not been exhaustive). * Telegraph: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/11/18/king-henry-viii-ordered-meghan-markles-ancestor-beheaded/ alleges that ''Lord Hussey, 1st Baron Hussey of Sleaford, was the great-great-great-grandfather of Captain Christopher Hussey, who left England in the 1650s to become a Founding Father of Nantucket.'' [from comments on profile of [[Hussey-26|Christopher Hussey (abt.1599-abt.1686)]]. If John is the father of this John, it puts him in line correctly, to my understanding.
