Help, Sarah's parents, please

I am having trouble tracking even vague information for Sarah Bonnell Wardell.  From her birth timing, she seems to be a child of Nathaniel Bonnell, but there is an unproven statement out there that says she was born in Hampton, now New Hampshire.

Her husband was born in Hampton, but he did not live there long.   I must assume that her family also moved into New Jersey with the Quakers.  Still, there is no indication who that family was.

Do any of you more experienced PGM people have more data on this lady and her roots?

Please help.

UPDATE

I had actually done some digging, but with no satisfaction.  I have added my trials on the profile page to help you to help me.  From Sarah's birth date in 1664, it is clear her parents were in the colonies around then.  Can anyone point me in a better direction than the empty one I have now?

Big Thanks!

Neither of these family names are familiar to me and I do not do colonial (?) NJ people in general.

How about, first, filling-in the missing information on the profile ["This profile needs sources" it says] so as to present the sources that PROVE all the statements as facts.

THEN, we might be able to assist you in suggesting where to look.

As a DEFAULT step before asking, have you Googled (Joseph Bonnell, Sarah Wardell)? :

[Here's one that popped up as a source in another site's profile for the Wardells: David Stouck, The Wardells and Vosburghs - Records of a Loyalist Family (Privately printed, 1986.]

Have you archive.org searched for Bonnell Family Genealogy or for Wardell ditto?  Have you run these names through Ancestry or FamilySearch? Have you consulted Torrey's NEM?

On your behalf, I looked up these family names in Anderson's GMD and, nope, these families appear to be immigrants to NE post-1640, so, for the moment, the GM series can be skipped.

So, please help us help you by doing the above and reporting back.

Best wishes.

I have added my sad attempts at location upon the profile page.  Please read through and feel free to give me your best guesses.

Torrey's New England Marriages has information only on the Bonnells/Bunnells of SW Conn. including New Haven. However, you should check out each and everyone of his sources. As I can not cut and paste into this block (a debiltating nuisance to communication), you will have to go to your Pub Library or local genealogy society to get at the hard copy.

What Torrey does have are marriages involving the Wardalls in & around Ipswich. There may be a Wardall/Bonnell interaction in & around Ipswich to find.

There is a Bunnell reference in GM2:7:143, and also at "Hugh Mason," GM2:5.

Disappointingly, Noyes, et. al., GDMNH has nothing at listed for either Bonnell nor Bunnell.

Use Google to locate the archive.og copies of NH Colonial Papers.

Family Search has the following Bonnell/Bunnell Family in America -- it did npt show up at archive.org. It might be available at Hathi.

Best.

Great!  I will hunt down these leads.  Thank you for the heads up.
