How do I get past the Chrome Extension Blocker

Question

I am trying to add the WikiTree Browser Extension.  I followed to installation instructions.

Click Installation.

Select Chrome Stable version

Click the blue oval Add to Chrome

Select Add Extension - Download Error in lower left corner and the download window shows a bunch of random characters and the phrase Blocked by your organization  ????

This is just my personal preference but there are other browsers which are more secure and come with less headaches.

Is this your personal computer or one managed by someone else. The phrase "Blocked by your organization" makes it sound like an IT department has configured the computer or browser to not allow extensions to be installed.

If this is your own computer you can probably turn this off.
