I am Shapcott-193, a John Shapcott-68  has been created by Troy Holland and I want to add it to my tree but don't know how
WikiTree profile: John Shapcott

Since it appears you're already connected to this profile, perhaps what you're wanting is to join the Trusted List for the profile so that you'll be notified of any updates to it.  See to the right, among other options, the option to request to be added to the Trusted List.

It depends on the relationship between you and Shapcott-68.

First off, you have to remember that there is no such thing as "my tree" on WikiTree. It is all one tree for everyone.

What you can do is connect an existing profile as a parent, child, sibling of spouse of another profile.

However, when I look at your profile (Shapcott-193) and Shapcott-68 they are actually already connected. You can see the relationship here.

If you have one of John's children, or his wife, you can go to the edit page of their profile and click "Add Father" or "Add Spouse".  On the next page you have a few options.  One of those is something like "Connect an existing profile as his/her father".  Click that one.  Put Shapcott-68 in the box that appears and hit "Continue".

It appears as you are connected and have added his father.
