Shared Photo: Dawid Smit Image- Unsure which is my Grandad the reason for the group Photo

Hi follow Wiki friends 

I wanted to share this family photo of Dawid Smit with the community. Location: unknown. Date: unknown.

I have received the phot below from a cousin. My problem is that it does not tel me who is my grandfather. The photo was taken in 1940 I think where my grandpa was part of the 1st “ spesiaaldiens reserwe bataljon “ where they stood guard at “wapenopslaag plek in Pretoria” this was in the Second World War
