I've been working extensively on the Wikitree Page for the 3rd Missouri Cavalry of the Union Army. The page can be found here. An ongoing project is identifying the members of this regiment and linking them to the page.

3rd Regiment Missouri Cavalry Union (wikitree.com)

My 2nd Great-Grandfather Marshall McBee and his brother James McBee served in the 3rd Missouri Cavalry Company F. From compiling the ages, dates of enlistment, occupations, and places of birth for this regiment, I was struck by how diverse the backgrounds of the 3rd Missouri Cavalry soldiers were. Because Missouri at the time was a place that people from both the North and South settled, the regiment reflected this. In the 3rd Missouri Cavalry, soldiers born in the Southern States fought for the Union Army along soldiers born in the Northern States and in Europe.

Here is the breakdown by place of birth for the 3rd Missouri Cavalry soldiers:

Good job.

I see you have George Lucas in your roster.  Not the guy who produced Star Wars.  He received a Medal of Honor for chasing down and killed Brig-General George Holt who was the Adjutant General of the Arkansas State Militia.  General Holt was the only general of any state militia to be killed in action.  I have been researching George Holt's family from Tullahoma, Tenn and his brothers who also served.
